Mozarkite Society of Lincoln Inc. – Meeting Minutes
The meeting was held Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the First Christian Church, 200 S. Limit, Sedalia, MO 65301.
President: Pam Radu
Attendance: 11 members present and 1 guest
Minutes:
The minutes were read and entered into the file.
The treasury report was read, reporting collections from member dues; the reports were filed for audit.
Old Business:
Bradley reported 2 options for the website: GoDaddy at $131 per year with basic features or Wix at $140 per year (includes a website domain for a year).
Kelly brought a collection of rocks to discuss what to do with them. Pam will visit the storage shed on Monday to determine if some rocks can be kept for polishing while disposing of the rest. (More details to follow next month.)
Kelly confirmed that the food vendor from the past two years is good to go for the September Rock Show.
New Business:
Bradley will contact the Andersons to see if we can buy out our domain. If possible, we would like to start hosting our website.
The new bank account requires three signatures. Joyce, Pam, and Carl will be the new signatories and will visit the bank on Thursday.
Lee and Nancy noted that having dinner before the meeting makes bringing refreshments redundant. Nancy made a motion that if we decide to eat out, we would not have refreshments; the motion was seconded by Lee (9 in favor). (Motion Carried)
Pam mentioned that Miss Diane was in the hospital and secured a “get well soon” card for the club; further details will be provided later.
A sign-up sheet was passed around for the March carry-in dinner.
