Mozarkite Society of Lincoln Inc. – Meeting Minutes
The regular meeting was held Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at the First Christian Church, 200 S. Limit, Sedalia, MO 65301.
President: Pam Radu
Attendance: 11 members present and 1 guest
Minutes:
The minutes were read and entered into the file.
The treasury report was read, reporting collections from member dues; the reports were entered into the file for audit.
Old Business:
No Old Business.
New Business:
Our website domain is set to expire on Jul 27, 2024. The Andersons, who have been managing it, will be selling it to another webmaster. We can accept the new webmaster or see if we can buy the domain name from them. However, we’d like to host our own website if we can buy the domain name.
Kelly made a motion, seconded by Barbara, to look into a new website host, potentially having us run the website. (Motion Carried)
Joyce will talk to the Wood & Huston bank to see what is needed for the account transfer from Community National Bank in Lincoln to the Wood & Huston bank in Sedalia.
Joyce mentioned she spoke with Dee Dickson, who informed her that Robin had not received our graduation gift. Joyce said she would send another check to Dee to replace the gift.
Kelly brought up contacting the food vendor from the last two years to confirm the date and time for the Rock Show in September. Nancy made a motion, seconded by Joyce, to contact the food vendor for confirmation.
Kelly said he would bring the rocks from our storage unit to the show next year to see what could be sold. Barbara made a motion, seconded by Pam, to break the rocks into small pieces and polish them for sale. (Motion Carried)
The refreshments sign-up sheet was passed around for volunteers.
